Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Financial Support

All students admitted to the OSBP receive full financial support.  The OSBP offers Graduate Research Associate (GRA) positions or Fellowships for the first year, and research advisors provide support in the following years. The stipend for 2023-2024 is $32,352/year.  Fellows will receive a stipend that matches or exceeds $30,180 annually for the duration of the fellowship.  Both GRA and fellowship positions include full tuition, academic fees, and health insurance.  Students can expect continued financial support while enrolled in the Ph.D. program as long as they are in good academic standing and making satisfactory progress toward the degree.
